I’m Zoe.

First, thank you for visiting my blog! I’m new to the blogging world, and every visitor I get is exciting.

I suppose I started this blog for a few reasons. Most importantly, I love to cook (and eat). When I was younger, I really liked the eating part, but I wasn’t too keen on the cooking. My sister and I would have cooking contests, and she would create an incredible chocolate brownie from scratch, and I would serve bottled salad dressing over lettuce. Though I think it is same to assume my sister took most of the wins, I seem to have blocked the results from my memory.

Over the past ten years, however, I’ve really come into my own in the kitchen. I scour bookstores for new cookbooks, love to experiment with recipes, and always look forward to cooking and eating with friends and family.

On top of my love for cooking, I am also an aspiring gardener. A few years ago I spent a summer working on a friend’s beautiful organic farm, and ever since I’ve been inspired to try my luck at vegetable gardening. I also love farmer’s markets. Living in the Bay Area, you can  go to a farmer’s market (or five) any day of the week. I feel very lucky to have access to so much incredible local produce, and try to take advantage as much as possible.

Finally, I’ve become an enthusiastic photographer over the past year. I’m still learning the ins and outs of digital photography, but am loving the experience of photographing my food.

I hope you enjoy what you find at SeedtoStove. And I would love to hear from you if you have any questions, comments or ideas! You can leave a comment here, or contact me at: seedtostove [at] gmail [dot] com.
